Consisting of three major elongated buildings, this complex was filled with food and produce vendors in 19th century Boston. The center building, Quincy Market is presently filled with restaurants, snack counters and stores. The exterior buildings, North and South markets are home to more than 125 stores where shoppers indulge in everything from jewelry and clothes to flowers and art.
Downtown Crossing
Dynamic Downtown Crossing is surrounded with stores and services of every conceivable nature. Streets are bricked over to form a pedestrian walkway where cars are not permitted during business hours. The area offers outdoor benches, street vendors and fast-food eateries that create a convenient, lively shopping district.
Sports:
The "Garden", formerly known as the "Fleet", is just a short distance from the Harborside Inn. The Garden is home to the Boston Bruins of the NHL and the Boston Celtics of the NBA. Fenway Park, which is home to the Boston Red Sox, is a subway ride away, which you can catch just outside the front door at the Inn. The NFL New England Patriots and MLS New England Revolutions home is located in Foxboro which is available by rail service located at South Station. Local colleges and universities are convenient to the subway system.
